Halloween for me was always about the candy... I didn't even like dressing up. Then I got too old to trick or treat and now I just don't want all the junk in my house! Nevertheless, the boys were excited to dress up (because they do it all the time!) and we set out on our inagural trick or treating venture. We ended up having a blast! I am not sure if I had more fun or the boys! Here are some pics...

family weekend

We kept my niece, Elle, this weekend & enjoyed her so much! She always had a smile on her face and I think she really enjoyed her 2 older cousins playing with her! Uncle Michael loved having a girl around - he got some extra hugs and attention too!

another birthday boy!

Luke turns 3 tomorrow (well, he actually already thinks he is 3 because we had a firetruck party). This boy is full of life, looks up to his brother and loves his family so much! He's into tools, trucks, sports and pretty much anything else Jacob will let him get his hands on...

birthdays

Jacob is a whole hand now and is super excited! We had fun celebrating our energy filled, full of laughs, color-loving, lego-loving, transformer & bakugan-loving 5 year old!
we roasted marshmellows & made smores ont he night of his brithday. Jacob loved it and said "i've never camped before." This is my niece & sister in law...
then my birthday was yesterday... now Luke's is coming up in 2 weeks, so more to come...

summer days

Here are some pictures from summer days... I have to say I'm super excited about the fall weather, football, my boys' (and my) birthday coming up, but I'm surprisingly sad to see summer officially go. We had so much fun swimming this year as the boys really learned to "get it." We celebrated lots of friend's birthdays, did slip-n-slides, took trips & played with friends we don't see as much during the school year.
