HAWAII

Michael & I just celebrated our 10th anniversary and we were fortunate enough to have a week in Hawaii without the kids! The grandparents stepped in & took care of the kids which we are SO thankful for! It was the only time we have gone somewehre for a week by ourselves since our honeymoon, so not being distracted by kids, dishes, laundry, schedules, work, etc was amazing! Definitely not reality, but was nice for a time.

July 4th festivities

I can't believe we fit this many kids at this table for 4. It was hilarious to hear them initiate their own conversations. It was mostly about spitting & poo poo unfortunately, but the whole table was giggling until mean mamma (aka... me) requested an end to the "potty talk"!

big weekend!

Me & the boys spent a couple days in Chattanooga with my parents. We stayed at the Chattanooga Choo Choo, went to the IMAX, the Aquarium & Lake Winnapesoka! We had a blast!

We've spent some time at the pool this summer & taking swimming lessons. The boys are doing great and by lesson 5 are swimming short distances on their own!
Luke is desperately waiting his turn on the diving board. Yes, he is 2 1/2 & fearless. He's been off the board 3 times with coach Will waiting in the water for him.
Jacob is a little more cautious, but did go off the board today & loved it!

shaping up

Things are coming together at the new Purifoy casa. Here is a table I bought on craigslist for our living room.
Jacob was SO excited about helping me. Here is in 2 sizes too small "paint clothes." He is so focused!
And here is the finished product!

Thanks to our neighbors, Luke was able to take his first swim on 2010! He had a blast! Jacob was with his daddy at golf camp. Luke has been eyeing the swimming pool a while and when we got to the pool I think he was overwhelmed with how big pools are (cause I'm not sure if his little mind can remember swimming last year), then he said "mommy, will you teach me to swim?"
