lots of firsts

Jacob watched his first official movie last night... Bee Movie. The ad captured his eye in the Blockbuster window. He's into it...

Luke had his first meal in the high chair. (the high chair that both my brother and I used as well as Jacob). Glad my mom held onto it!
Also, Luke starting saying "dada." It's so sweet. I'll try to get it on video.
Jacob went to the putting green today. He was so excited and I think his daddy was too.

play, play, play

We have had so much fun having friends over to play on our new swingset!

Jacob just met this new friend Hank. His mommy, Amy is a family friend and they've just moved back to Nashville- yeah! They worked up an appetite and we had to break for lunch!

The Purifoy's "mini-van." Jacob and Bella climbed back into the stroller after our morning walk. Luke isn't missing... he's sleeping.

Our cousins', the Purifoys (who live down the street) all working very hard together. We're sad though because they just put their house on the market today!! Anyone looking for a home in Crieve Hall?

All the cousins... Mary Pierson, Luke, Jacob, Emily and Libby. Michael and their daddy, Thomas are 1st cousins.

Love this smile...
And these eyes!!

big mess

Not sure if it was the green beans or the big brother distracting Luke that caused this big mess. Daddy wouldn't be able to handle this :) And yes, Jacob got a hair cut.

Bella's birthday

Bella LOVED us singing Happy Birthday to her (so much that we did it about 3 or 4 times). She bobbed her head back and forth while we sang.

Here is her new ride that Jacob was obsessed with. He was next to her every second and kept saying "all done" so he could have a ride. Not this time honey!

Jacob & Hudson... everyone had a fun time flying kites.

Happy 2nd Birthday Bella!

Blair's birthday

We had a great time at Blair's 1st birthday!! Isn't she sweet? Jacob is always up for a party. He wondered if Wiggles would be there (from Charlie's party).

let the games begin

Luke is sitting up now, but not without some extra padding around...

earrings?

Jacob asked me to take his picture with his "earrings" on. Jacob asking for the camera at any time is rare, so I made sure to capture it.

6 months

Luke is 6 months now. At his checkup he weighed 15 1/2 lbs (25%) and was 27 inches (75%). Jacob was 16lbs 11oz and 25.5 inches at 6 months (little chub).

the brick is done!

Yeah, the brick is done and the tarp is gone!! We love our new back door. The brick looks really good, but it's an adjustment since we've been looking at the tarp for 4 months. The brick and mortar should dry and "lighten up"- we sure hope so! Here's a before and after... Can you see the worker smiling for the camera?

big week

Luke has had a big week! He turned 6 months on Sunday, got his first tooth on Tuesday and had his first play date too! Here Luke is with Macie (Corrie Blair's little girl) who is 6 days older than he is. They had a good time sharing toys and babbling to each other.

be like daddy

Like how Jacob even has his legs crossed like his daddy does?

Sunday at the park

We have this great new play set in our back yard, but put down some fertilizer and now have to stay off it a little while. SO, we headed to the park on Sunday. Jacob LOVES to be outside and Luke just goes along for the ride.

vocal

Luke is becoming very vocal these days and also LOVES to put anything he can get his hands on into his mouth. Here he is trying to get his toes. Love the leg kick at the end. I know the grandparents will enjoy this one.

Easter pictures

Jacob is not fond of the camera these days, but we did manage to get a couple pictures. Jacob says "take a smile." He enjoyed the egg hunting, although he hasn't quite gotten the hang of it. He was first excited about the one dollar bill he found in his egg and called a "thousand dollars", then he found the eggs, opened them and left the contents on the ground while putting the empty egg in his basket. He had a blast playing with his cousins too (Alex is driving the "Jeep"). Like his major cow-lick?
