bows?

Jacob found Bella Grace's pink bow at our house and had to try it on. He was very specific about where I was to put it. He thought he was so funny and wanted me to take a picture.

family weekend

PJ & Luke
We (Jacob actually still fits too) love taking baths in PJ & Grandy's sink. Jacob wanted to be a good, big brother and help.
My grandmother came to my parents for a visit (all the way from Dickson, TN) and had so much fun seeing the boys and holding Luke.

almost there

Luke wants to stand and move ALL the time. He is trying to crawl and will manage occassionally to pull up on his own. He's having so much fun with his new view. It's only a matter of time!

Jacob loves helping Luke play with his toys. He also tries to teach him to say words. He's got "dada" down, but now we're working on "mama." I am so thankful that Jacob absolutely adores his brother!

Father's day weekend

We had dinner last night with friends to celebrate Father's Day ...
As a gift, the wives also set up a round of golf for the guys on Saturday.
Here are the daddies... Adam, Tommy, Michael and James
Lots of laughs... The girls- Vara, Allison, Misty & Lindsey
These guys are great husbands and amazing with their children. We are thankful for you!!

8 months

Luke is 8 months! He wants to crawl so badly and is beginningto pull up. He is a sqirmer and full of life. Before long he will be into everything!
Luke on his first day of "school." God answered my first prayer in allowing Luke to sleep late this morning. I didn't want him to fall asleep in the car on the way to school. I wanted him to see his room and watch me leave learning that others can take care of him. He did great! The teachers said he was happy (my second prayer) and that he napped well. I said "really? how long" ... from 11:15- 11:55. It's all relative I guess. I guess it is great that he even went to sleep the first day and I wasn't complaining since he took a nap when he got home.

big week

The last week has been an eventful one (some bad, but mostly good). The good... We celebrated Michael's 30th birthday, went to Knoxville and Norris Lake with friends, then celebrated my mom's birthday. The bad... Before heading to Knoxville (literally one hour before), I had to take Luke back to the doctor from his earlier visit on Tuesday, for a shot of anitibiotic. I had a mental breakdown that day, but we are on the up and up. The other was me taking a Claritin-D at dinner Tuesday and not going to sleep until 3:30am, then waking up to Luke at 5am!! I'm a little tired, I guess you'd say. Here are a few pictures from our weekend...

bath time

We just decided it was time to do bath time together. We had fun! Jacob was being camera shy, but here he is singing a little bit of one of his favorites... Bob the Buidler. He is quite a little singer. He can sing just about anything (on key) and loves to hum too. If you hum, he can recognize the tune- maybe we have a musician on our hands?
