He's walking!
Luke took his first steps over 6 weeks ago. All he wants to do is hold my finger and walk (he is specific about which of my fingers he holds and about it being with his left hand too) and I decided because it's much safer holding on to me with a 3 year old running around (literally). I think Luke mustered up the courage though to go for it and has been walking (as his main mode of transporation) the last few days. He can walk 20-30 steps at a time on his own and turn around. I guess he decided to master all the skills before he took the plunge officially! Here's he is just wanting to get to mama hence the whining too...

coffee in East Nashville
Okay, I don't drink coffee (is there anyone else whos shares that with me?), but I do love my friends that recently opened Ugly Mugs, a new coffee shop in East Nasvhille, though! And of course they have more to offer than just coffee... I'd love for you to check Ugly Mugs out...

interesting baby facts
Or at least I think they are interesting! I got these from a friends blog...
--According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, more than 12,000 babies are born on October 5 making it the most common birth date in the US.
--The least common birthday is May 22, with an average of 10,259 births.
--More babies are born in August, with 369,000 birthdays on average. February has the fewest births--310,000.
--The most deliveries take place on Tuesdays, with an average of 13,169 births; Sundays see the fewest, with 7,347 (partly due to scheduled deliveries).
--The October 5th baby boom may have something to do with where it falls in the calendar year: about nine months after New Year's Eve.

beach trip
We had a great week at the beach with my parents and brother & sister in law. I think Matt & Karen were a little shocked at our lives with 2 kids (they will welcome their first in January). I even came back a year older.
